GREAT LOW MEDIA CONSOLES: BBDW, SUSSEX, LACK & 7 OTHERS
Many a living room has a television screen in it, and if it has to be, then it should be done well. I favor a long low credenza or media cabinet to hide all your junk and which won't push the screen too high on the wall. It should be eye level as you sit and not tower over your room. The credenzas I've chosen here all have a lovely low design that will flatter the long wall in your living room.

A WEST VILLAGE MODERN MAKEOVER FULL OF AFFORDABLE FURNITURE FINDS
From designer Shannon Tate: When I first started working with my client he wanted to toss almost everything he had and start fresh. He had never worked with a designer before and really wanted to take his new space to the next level. When we first spoke he told me about his very hectic travel schedule for work and I knew that I really wanted to create for him a space that felt like a breath of fresh air to come home to, as well as a true reflection of who he is. Find a mix of affordable buys, vintage finds and even some DIY inside.

INTERIORS & STYLING - GALLERY WALL
You might remember reading about my issue with our bulky TV and my plan to hide it. I’m happy to say we finally installed our gallery wall around the entertainment area. I might add a few small works here and there, but for the most part this project is wrapped up. Sourcing art is one of my favorite design tasks and this project was no exception; I was happy to purchase a few things from really talented, local artists.

A ONCE NEGLECTED HOME BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED IN THE MIDWEST
Sarah and Kalyn's style blends mid-century, traditional and transitional pieces seamlessly. Their mix of neutral colors and occasional pops of green the primary palette for their home's design. "It’s difficult to label our personal style … the rule has always been, if we see something we like, we’ll buy it, even if it’s not classified as modern," Sarah says. "I believe if you fill your home with things you love, it automatically becomes cohesive and tells your story."

HANDMADE DANISH-STYLE MEDIA CABINET BY STOR NEW YORK
It looks like a vintage piece, which is perhaps much of the appeal of this handmade Danish-style media cabinet by Stor New York.
It’s a pretty versatile design. Yes, a media cabinet would be a good way of using it, but the unit would be pretty useful general display and storage too with plenty of space both on top and within for doing just that.
